The second annual AEA Read-a-thon is on! Is your student registered? This is one of our favorite fundraisers, because it’s all about encouraging our students to read. It also lets them get extended family and friends involved in our school. This year we’re raising money to help purchase multimedia equipment for the new building. Since Monday, about 90 students have registered, and they’ve logged more than 4,000 minutes of reading! Their supporters have pledged more than $3,500. You don’t have to collect donations to participate: Any student who logs reading through the Read-a-thon site will be honored as a Read-a-thon star in the Cafe and be eligible for the PTA’s prize raffle, including lunch with the principal or assistant principal and more!
