The Academy for Excellence through the Arts is such a special place, thanks in large part to the incredible support from families, which allows the faculty to focus on the arts-centered curriculum they’re so passionate about. That’s why the PTA of AEA’s Annual Appeal—our direct request for money—is one of our most vital and impactful fundraising efforts. It helps us bridge budget gaps and ensure our students thrive.
Although donations are completely voluntary, they’re also tax-deductible, as the PTA of AEA is a 501(c)(3) organization. We invite you to become an AEA Star Giver by contributing $303 on behalf of your family. We understand not everyone can give at that level, but we hope you’ll consider donating what feels right for you—every contribution makes a difference. We encourage corporate matching gifts as well.
The PTA of AEA helps fund so many enriching experiences for our students—from the script for this year’s 4th grade play, Annie Kids, to the Global Classroom program that opens up the world to our 3rd graders. Schoolwide, we sponsor hot cocoa day before winter break, a Lunar New Year lion dance event for all grades in 2026, and shaved ice truck visit in June. We support essential tools like the Operoo system that keeps our community informed. And, new this year, we’re excited to offer Cool Culture passes, giving all AEA families free access to more than 90 city gardens, zoos, science centers and arts institutions.
