Reminder: Harvest Costume Parade Is Friday

The annual AEA students’ Harvest Costume Parade starts at 8:45 a.m. this Friday. Below is a map (Google Maps link here) that shows where the students will be walking. The parade is scheduled to start at the ghost and proceed counterclockwise around the block to end at the checked flag. Please consider heading to points farther from the school to ensure safe social distancing for the event. And it’s Halloween, so masks are definitely in style. We can’t wait to see what theme Mrs. Leto and her staff chose for their costumes this year! Remember: Students’ permission slips must be at the school by Thursday.

After student drop-off until the parade begins, please join the PTA for a bake sale on the 69th Avenue side of the school (at the coffee cup on the map) near the kindergarten and pre-K entrances. Lots of families are contributing treats (see the sign-up here) and three local Starbucks locations are donating boxes of coffee as well!

No need to bring baked goods to the school early; just drop them off when you arrive. This is a pay-what-you-want event, so be as generous as you wish and take as much as you’ll eat! Mostly, we can’t wait to spend this time together as an AEA community. We’ll very much miss the students who can’t be there because of the current classroom closure, and we look forward to seeing you all when it’s safe.
