- One of our own AEA families, the Kiernans (Luke, 2nd grade), have started a new venture in personalized sketchbooks. Here’s a bit of information from Mr. Kiernan about an upcoming event where they’ll be featured. Stop by and say hi!
We reserved a booth at the Queens Holiday Market at Atlas Park in Glendale – for the next three weekends (through Dec 20) – with a special opening this Friday night to coincide with the Atlas Park Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. On Saturday afternoon – around 4:45pm – I am hosting an arts/crafts kids hangout in the space. Every child will get to pick a free notecard with envelope and write a special note to someone they love.

- As you continue your holiday shopping, please, please, please set your Amazon accounts to benefit our school by logging on through smile.amazon.com and selecting PTA of AEA as your charity of choice!
- Have you sent a bag of clothing to Schoola? It couldn’t be easier! Simply request a postage-paid bag here, fill it up with your gently used clothing and drop it in the mail! They resell the clothing and our school makes money! We have received almost $1900 in less than a year. Incredible!
- We have two wonderful opportunities to teach your child about giving this holiday season! There is a Toys for Tots bin in our lobby where new, unwrapped gifts for birth-age 12 can be donated until December 11.
- We would also like for 100% of students to participate in our Scholastic pajama drive! Please send in a new set of pajamas for any age (birth-adult) to your child’s classroom. With your help we can reach our goal of 200 sets!
- StompingGround is wrapping up their photograph sales. All orders placed by December 8th qualify for free shipping to our school.
- Shopping at Artsonia for holiday gifts or cards is a fabulous way to support our school AND your little artist! Check our their ornaments, mouse pads, prints, and more! A percentage of any purchase you make goes back into our arts program for materials.
