School Leadership Team (SLT)

What is a School Leadership Team (SLT)?

The School Leadership Team ( SLT) is a group of parents, teachers, and school administrators who develop educational policies for their school. They also make sure there are resources to support those policies.
A key role for SLTs is to develop the School Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP). The CEP includes the goals and strategies of a specific school for that year. STLs work to develop these goals and strategies that lead to improved student outcomes.

SLTs:

  • Provide ongoing evaluations of a school’s educational programs and their impact on student achievement.
  • Play an important role in school-based decision-making.
  • Help to make school cultures more collaborative.

Meetings are generally held at 7:30 a.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from September to June, unless otherwise noted. Meetings are in-person at the school.
