- Provide ongoing evaluations of a school’s educational programs and their impact on student achievement.
- Play an important role in school-based decision-making.
- Help to make school cultures more collaborative.
The School Leadership Team ( SLT) is a group of parents, teachers, and school administrators who develop educational policies for their school. They also make sure there are resources to support those policies.
A key role for SLTs is to develop the School Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP). The CEP includes the goals and strategies of a specific school for that year. STLs work to develop these goals and strategies that lead to improved student outcomes.
Meetings are generally held at 7:30 a.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from September to June, unless otherwise noted. Meetings are in-person at the school.
Regularly scheduled SLT meetings are open to members of the school community. Members of the school community, who are not School Leadership Team Members, may request to speak at a SLT meeting. The request must be submitted in writing to the chairperson three school days in advance of the scheduled meeting.
