Get ready to read! Our second annual Read-a-thon will be starting on Monday, May 13, and run for two weeks. Your support will help the PTA of AEA raise money for new multimedia equipment, while also promote reading skills and the value of education!
Soon, you will get the Read-a-thon information that contains instructions on how to set up and log in to your child’s account, how to invite sponsors, and how to log minutes read. You can also watch this video to see how it works.
All students who participate will be Read-a-thon Stars and have their name up on the bulletin boards in the Cafe!
Raffle and class rewards include:
- Famous Pancakes with Mrs. Leto! Three students will win a pancake lunch with their principal.
- Lunch and a treat with Mrs. Gallo! Two student winners have lunch and a treat with their assistant principal.
- Lunch with Mrs. Vasilakis and a STEAM experiment: Two winners
- Class with most minutes read will win a yoga class with Mrs. Bonthuys.
- Class with the most participation gets a dance party with Ms. Garger.
Raffle instructions will be sent home soon, and winners will be announced the week after the Read-a-thon wraps up!
