Continued Blending Learning Cohort Schedule
As our school continues on the blended learning cohort schedule, students in Cohort A will be back in school this week, starting Mon, Dec 14. For those students that are in-person at school, the DOE requires mandatory weekly in-school testing for COVID-19. If you haven’t already submitted the consent form, please do so ASAP. Otherwise, the administration will have to contact you to obtain consent. After that, students without consent forms on file (and who do not have a medical exemption) will be moved to fully remote learning. Please see the Chancellor’s letter for additional details.
Furthermore, please don’t forget to check your child’s temperature in the morning daily and remember to fill out the health screen survey.
Annual Holiday Collection
Every year, the AEA school community leads a holiday gift collection for our teachers and staff. This year, even more so, we want to show our appreciation for all they do for our kids! Thank you to those who have already contributed! If you’d like to participate, please do so by Mon, Dec 21 via PayPal below or see the previous email for other ways to donate and additional details.
Kindergarten Applications
For those with children born in 2016, the kindergarten application is now open! The deadline to apply is January 19, 2021 with virtual sessions to learn about the admissions process starting on Tues, Dec 15 through mid-January. Please see the Chancellor’s letter for those session dates and additional details on how to apply.
Middle School Open Houses
For our 5th grade families, please see the flyer for virtual Queens South District 28 middle school open houses taking place the rest of this month and into January.
