It’s Chipotle (and PTA Meeting) Week!

If Monday’s snow day has left you with cabin fever, that’s all the more reason to join the PTA at two events this week.

Burrito

Tuesday is Chipotle Night! Grab dinner at the Chipotle on Austin Street in Forest Hills from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and tell the cashier you want to support the PTA of AEA. Let your friends and neighbors know, too! We cannot hand out fliers at the restaurant, but feel free to share all you want on social media. Go ahead and add the guac, because one-third of the proceeds will go to the PTA. This is an easy and delicious fundraiser!

Thursday will be our regular monthly PTA meeting in the Cafe at 7 p.m. We’ll have coffee, snacks and babysitting. Bring your questions about fundraising events. On the agenda is forming a nomination committee for our upcoming vote. We can talk about the positions up for election as well.

Parent-teacher conferences are coming up next week. Please make it a sweet event, by helping with the PTA bake sale on March 14. Can you spend even a half-hour assisting at the table? There are options to do that on our Signup Genius here:

Last week, the NY1 news station published a report about school cafeterias and health inspections. The staff at AEA would like families to know that you can check the results from PS 303Q’s most recent health inspection here (in November), for which there were no violations. If you have any further concerns, please bring them up with the parent coordinator.
