AEA Required Forms
If you haven’t already, please fill out the AEA required forms (Blue Cards, Photo Consent, and School Compact). Please refer to the official school email sent this past week that included all the forms as well as instructions on how to fill out and return. The administration needs these forms from all families in order to send out the Halloween costume parade video and others in the future.
Remote Learning Materials Pick-up
For all families in Cohort D / full remote, please pick up the next round of learning materials at the AEA schoolyard on Monday, 11/16 from either 10:00am-11:15am or from 1p-2p. If you can’t make it at those times, please arrange to have someone pick them up for you.
Small Business Promotions
As this pandemic continues, we recognize that some of our community members may have been hit harder than others, especially those who are small business owners. We would like to continue to support those in our community who are small business owners by inviting them to reach out to the PTA directly at 303pta@gmail.com with their business contact information and details. We will pull together a catalog of all the small businesses owned by members of the community and send out to the whole school. This is not meant as an endorsement but just as information sharing for parents who want to support other parents.
Coffee Chat
We know how hard it is nowadays to meet other people and build up our community when we are not all able to see each other in person. And so, we will be holding an informal open coffee chat for any parents who’d like to drop in to say hi, ask questions or just to chat and meet other parents on Monday, Nov 23 at 4pm. Please RSVP here.
Fundraisers & Donations
Doublegood Popcorn Fundraiser
We are in the process of setting up this popular fundraiser with Doublegood popcorn! Stay tuned for additional details later this week on how to purchase.
Annual Appeal
Thank you again to those who contributed! If you’d still like to contribute, you may do so in the following ways:
- Online via Paypal
- Personal check: return with this form filled out in a sealed envelope marked “PTA Annual Appeal” in your child’s backpack or send by mail to the address at the bottom of this email.
Mask chains
We are still taking orders for our mask chain fundraiser handmade by our former pre-K teacher, Ms. Weissbach. They range from $10 to $20 depending on size and can be customized with your name and choice of colors. Please order through this form by 11/20/20.
For our 5th grade families
There will be a virtual Queens Parent Advisory Board meeting on Thurs, Nov 19 from 6-8pm to discuss screening and admission processes for high school, middle school, and G&T (amongst other topics). For more details and to RSVP, see here.
