We trust everyone’s child(ren) has settled well in their new classroom and with their teacher(s) and of course, friends.
We have a few events planned in October:
Our October PTA meeting will be held on Thursday, October 13th @ 7pm via zoom. Click link to get zoom information – PTA meeting zoom link. Thanks to everyone that joined us for our 1st PTA meeting – we were thrilled to see so many returning and new families.
Picture Day is Friday, October 21st (makeup and sibling day will be held on December 5th). One of the highlights at AEA is back! The Annual Harvest Costume Parade will be held on Monday, Oct. 31. Before the official event, please join the PTA of AEA for the Harvest Parade Bake Sale on the 69th Avenue side of the school. In the past we’ve had lots of sweet treats to enjoy, and time for adults to socialize while we wait after drop-off for the students’ parade to begin. We’ll need lots of bakers (or experienced baked-good buyers) to contribute items, as well as volunteers for helping staff the tables. And if you’re just an eater, that’s great too! It’s a pay-what-you-wish event. And a really great opportunity to get together as a community. Hope to see everyone there! We’ll be launching our Annual Appeal Campaign after our October PTA meeting. The annual appeal is the PTA’s largest fundraising effort. We will be sending out more information about this later.
